Students Helping Students

The UW Bothell community is relying on each other now more than ever. Spring quarter is underway, and our campus community faces an unprecedented number of students with immediate financial need. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and its ripple effects, many UW students and their families now find themselves in immensely challenging circumstances.

Many have lost the jobs and income they rely on to cover their UW education and living expenses. Others face immediate food and housing insecurities or personal and family health crises.

Since 2015, graduating seniors have given back to the Student Emergency Fund. We invite you to join the tradition and support future Huskies by making your senior class gift to the COVID-19 Student Emergency Fund. The UW Bothell COVID-19 Emergency Student Fund provides unrestricted resources to undergraduate and graduate students who are experiencing financial hardship as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. You can help bring relief to these students and prevent the disruption of their education.

Your gift today will help provide the following necessities for students in need:

  • Tuition, books and supplies
  • Housing and living expenses
  • Technology for virtual learning
  • Child care
  • Unanticipated medical cost

Thank you for your gift! Your support will make all the difference.

2020 Senior Class Gift

The Senior Class is strong, resilient, and committed to ensuring that their fellow students are supported no matter what circumstances they face. Honor them and their commitment with a gift of $20.20

Utilities and WiFi

As students continue their studies from home, you can help mitigate the increased costs of utilities such as heating and electricity, or provide improved internet connectivity for virtual learning.

Social distancing measures are necessary to slowing the spread of COVID-19. You can limit the frequency of a student’s public exposure by providing them with more than a weeks’ worth of groceries at one time.

Medical Care

Now more than ever it is critical that students remain healthy. In the event that a student or family member they support becomes ill, you can help alleviate the financial strain of unanticipated medical care.

Stable housing is critical for student success in this moment of virtual learning and social distancing. You can supplement the cost of housing for a student struggling to pay rent or contribute to their family’s household expenses.
